Pabedan authorities are trying to hunt down a man who ditched court police and made a clean getaway on foot.

As 7Day reports, the man was one of three culprits attending a court session at the Pabedan Township Court on Thursday morning.

An eyewitness recalled to 7Day: “He ran from the court and headed towards Strand Road. He was even hit by a car on Strand Road and fell down, but he immediately got back up and ran towards Pansodan.

“The main reason [he got away] was that there weren’t that many police. There were only two officers. They were handling the other prisoners so they could only chase him once they had taken care of [the other two].”

A Pabedan police officer confirmed that a detainee had escaped, but declined to provide any additional comment.

There seems to be a trend this week of convicts successfully evading the law. On Monday, a detainee in Bago got away after his brother and a friend intentionally crashed into the police bike that was transporting him on their way back from a court hearing.
