Only two days after Mingalar market caught fire, another blaze strikes in Sanchaung

Firefighters tackled another big blaze on Monday morning only two days after they put one out at Mingalar market.

Myanmar’s Fire Service Department says the latest fire happened at 11am today on Myathidar street in Sanchaung Township.

Authorities believe the fire originated in the home of a woman whom they are planning on taking legal action against, 7Day News Journal reported. An estimated 14 homes were destroyed.

It was a Level 4 fire, not as large as the one at Mingalar Market early Saturday morning, which was Level 5, the most serious in terms of response. Firefighters were able to put out the blaze in about 45 minutes.
