Air Mandalay is planning to take to the skies again with commercial flights in just over a month, an industry publication has revealed.

The struggling airline’s Chief Executive Officer, Sai Kham Park Hpa, told aviation insider news site ch-aviation that is will resume flights from Yangon to Heho and Mandalay, among several other destinations, on May 1.

Recent months have been problematic, to say the least, for the airline, one of many trying to capitalize on the influx of tourist and business travelers in Myanmar. In November, its former CEO resigned. Also late last year, the company suspended flights due to the late arrival of new planes.
