Is it Fight Week in Singapore and nobody told us about it? The past couple of days already saw a shouting match between two cyclists as well as punches being exchanged on an MRT train, but today’s addition to fight news involves a bunch of scorned women in Geylang.
Captured in a clip that was shared across social media this morning, four women were locked in a brawl near a pedestrian crossing along Geylang Road, near ABC Bistro. A proper brawl too, with the women grabbing hard on each other’s hair to the point of rolling dangerously on the road. It got to the point that their belongings got scattered everywhere.
But the truly alarming bit wasn’t the fact that the women refused to stop wrangling each other onto the ground. No, the disturbing part was the fact that the skirmish gathered a sizeable crowd of men who simply stood aside and watched as the ladies writhe on the pavement in undignified states. Only one man tried to intervene, but it’s unclear if he knew the women, who appeared to be speaking Vietnamese.
What was clear though was that he just had about enough of their shit while helping to pick up their strewn items. Just look at that priceless expression — dude is all of us in 2018.
Netizens also took issue with the crowd simply standing by and refusing to put and end to the scrimmage.
It’s business as usual though along Geylang Road, where the stretch is in very close proximity to sleazy establishments and shady ongoings in the red-light district.
