Following the viral clip of a man and a woman casually tossing two dockless bikes into a ditch, the police are now involved in an investigation against the pair.

As it turns out, the bikes belonged to oBike, and the bike-sharing company is currently working closely with the authorities to identify the couple in subject, Channel NewsAsia reports. Police confirmed that a report has been made, and investigations are ongoing.

If you are wondering who throws bikes into drains

oBike’s co-founder and chief marketing officer Edward Chen verified to CNA that the bikes do belong to the company, and slammed their actions.

“It is evident that the perpetrators have damaged our bikes maliciously and we strongly condemn their behaviour,” he said to the publication, before encouraging all riders to practice “civic-mindedness”.

Alternatively, people should just act like decent human beings for once.
