Froyo brand llaollao to make its comeback at Changi Airport Terminal 2 in June

Last year was all about drama, drama, drama in our local F&B scene. First, there was homegrown brand LiHO, which unceremoniously kicked out beloved bubble tea chain Gong Cha and replaced all its outlets here. But the latter had way too many fans to let it go, so it returned with much fanfare and long queues in December.

Similarly, after Spanish frozen yogurt franchise llaollao saw all 29 of its Singapore stores abruptly closed, only to be substituted by Yolé (which claimed to be an European brand but was actually a new-to-market one), it promised a comeback. And now it has delivered.

According to The Straits Times, llaollao will return with its first store on the second floor of Changi Airport Terminal 2, as the neighbor of donut brand Krispy Kreme. But as to who’s the new master franchisee bringing in the brand — that hasn’t been revealed yet. All llaollao loyalists can do is hope that it’s just the beginning of more new outlets across the island.

The online sphere has been abuzz, mostly with excitement, at the news, with some netizens calling the move a “Gong Cha 2.0”. However, Changi Airport isn’t the most convenient of places — so unless you’re jetting off on a holiday, you’d probably have to be an uber fan if you’re going to make the trek out there for froyo.
