First, it was a rumor. Then, burger enthusiasts all over the country rejoiced when the Zouk Group confirmed it was indeed bringing in cult fave American burger joint Five Guys. Now, we have a location to keep an eye on.
It’s been revealed today that the brand’s first Singapore outpost will be nestled in the Orchard area, at the ground level of Plaza Singapura, near its main atrium. Apparently, the space will host both indoor and outdoor seats when it opens in the fourth quarter of 2019.
“We want our first-ever outlet for Five Guys to be in the heart of the city, where it is convenient, easily accessible, and with high traffic complemented by a great tenant mix in the vicinity. Plaza Singapura offers us just that,” said Andrew Li, Chief Executive officer of Zouk Group.
So watch out for changes in the mall the next time you pass by, as the fast casual American chain will soon make its debut on our shores, bringing with it customizable burgers, hot dogs, hand-cut fries, and milkshakes.
