Basketball fans, this is not a drill.
The Golden State Warriors’ Stephen Curry will be visiting Manila on September 5. The two-time Most Valuable Player’s visit was announced by Under Armour on Twitter on Wednesday.
Aside from Manila, Curry will also visit Tokyo, Japan and Wuhan, China.

Apart from the country’s passion for the game, the Warriors — and Curry — are particularly popular in the Philippines because of the large Filipino community in the San Francisco Bay Area.
This link with Filipinos is not lost on the Warriors, which regularly hosts Filipino Heritage Nights. The Philippines’ Tanduay Rum also sponsors the team.
Under Armour hasn’t given any other details, such as the events to expect during Curry’s visit and where tickets could be purchased.
Earlier this month, Curry’s teammate Kevin Durant visited Manila to launch his new sneakers and meet local fans.
