Well it looks like the “ancient” art of sending an actual greeting card is alive and well in Malaysia.
Pos Malaysia says it is set to deliver 2.6 million greeting cards this Hari Raya Aidilfitri, after a campaign recently.
“The campaign is not just to attract people to use the postal service to send their greeting cards but also to preserve old traditions that are becoming easily forgotten,” Pos Malaysia operations chief (Communications and Distribution Solutions) Helmi Hashim told The Rakyat Post.
“Statistically, there was a slight decrease in sending Raya cards through postal delivery compared with 10 years ago, but the number is still encouraging as we expect 2.6 million cards to be posted this festive season,” he was quoted as saying.
Ah, we’re still a sentimental lot, aren’t we?
