Garbage collection will continue as usual in Kuala Lumpur, Putrajaya and Pahang during the Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebrations, Alam Flora Sdn Bhd (Alam Flora) announced.
More than 3,000 workers will be on duty to clean up on the first and second of the celebration, Bernama reports.
“Alam Flora has made early preparations as we expect the amount of garbage to be collected will increase, especially in densely populated areas,” its CEO Mohd Zain Hassan was quoted as saying.
More than 300 waste compactor trucks will be made available to cope with household needs during the festive season.
Take care to dispose your garbage off properly, folks. Poor garbage disposal — especially during festive periods — has been identified as a factor that could worsen the dengue outbreak in the country.
