Starting tomorrow, about 3,000 special Hari Raya train tickets will be made available for purchase, Keretapi Tanah Melayu Berhad (KTMB) announced.
Bernama reports that these tickets would be for the Kuala Lumpur-Tumpat train service.
KTMB Intercity Services Marketing senior manager Mohd Noordin Kimi was quoted as saying that the rebranded ‘Eastern Holiday Train’ service would be in operation from June 23 to July 11.
“The train was first scheduled to only operate on weekends to promote the tourism sector in Kelantan and Pahang,” Mohd Noordin was quoted further.
“However, in conjunction with the Hari Raya, KTMB has decided to increase the frequency of the train service to meet the demand of passengers who want to return to their hometowns,” he told Bernama.
