Youth group threatens to break into the Australian Embassy if Tony Abbott doesn’t apologize

Australian PM Tony Abbott isn’t the most popular man in Indonesia at the moment.

To say that Indonesians are insulted by Australian Prime Minister Tony Abbott’s “unethical” diplomatic handling between Australia and Indonesia is an understatement to say the least. The Sons and Daughters of Military/Police Officers and Veterans’ Communications Forum (FKPPI) have given Abbott exactly seven days to make a public apology for his recent statements.

“If he doesn’t apologize, we will break into the Australian Embassy [in Jakarta],” said FKPPI Chairman Arif Wibowo at a press conference yesterday, as quoted by Tribunnews

“Australia has gone too far with their meddling in our justice and social affairs. Indonesia is sovereign, and drugs [smuggling] is an extraordinary crime,” Arif said.

Arif said the FKPPI wrote a letter to the Australian Embassy and the Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, formally requesting an apology from Abbott.
