WTF: Juventus and Real Madrid fans brawl and trash sports hall after watching Champions League game together (video)

The above video is really just five minutes of people throwing things at each other, but it perfectly highlights what’s really wrong with this country. It’s not enough that we have corrupt politicians, it also seems like many Indonesians simply don’t have the intellectual capacity to be decent people. Indonesians like the idiots fighting in this video.

The video was published on May 14, or the day Juventus knocked out Real Madrid in the UEFA Champions League semifinals, setting up a date with Barcelona in the final.

The video shows the aftermath of a “nobar” or “nonton bareng” (watch together) of the clash between the two teams early Thursday morning at a sports hall in the Otista Sports Complex in East Jakarta. It’s not clear who taunted whom initially, but the brawl between the two sets of supporters looked pretty serious, as objects as large as folding chairs are thrown across the hall.

What’s more embarrassing about this episode is that none of these tough guys are actually from Madrid or Juventus’ Turin, yet they acted more violently than the local fans back in Europe.

A policeman came in to break up the brawl like it was no big deal towards the end of the video, as if he expected the supporters to be this idiotic. There were no reports of casualties or injuries, and it’s hard to imagine that either anybody who is actually a part of Juventus or Real Madrid would care if there were.

And besides, what’s there to get so worked up about? We all know Barcelona would have beat either of the two teams come June 6.

H/T to Redditor phoniccrank for finding the video!
