If you’re a man, imagine the worst possible way for you to be woken up. Yeah… that’s how Endang, the husband of Endah, was woken up on June 15.
Endah, who is 45 years old, is currently on trial in Lampung’s Liwa District Court for her unspeakable crime.
Well, technically not unspeakable. Like the headline says, she chopped off her husband’s penis with a machete.
Endah separated her husband’s genitala from the rest of his body early in the morning on June 15 while he was sleeping in their home in West Lampung. She fled immediately after the deed was done.
Endang was, of course, awoken by this and started screaming – as he had never screamed ever before, presumably. His neighbors came to help him and took him to a hospital (no word on whether they were able to recover his missing member).
Endah was caught by the police several days later and charged with domestic violence. As this is the first day of her trial, she has not yet testified as to why she attacked her husband.
Although Endah’s crime is rarely reported in Indonesia, it is surprisingly and disturbingly not so unusual in nearby Thailand.
