Motorcycle taxi company Go-Jek tragically lost one of its drivers on Monday as a result of a traffic accident. Unfortunately, tragedy struck once again as another Go-Jek driver died after being hit by a truck in Depok on Tuesday.
Charles Tambunan, 41, was driving on Jalan Raya Bogor in Cimanggis, Depok, on Tuesday afternoon. According to witnesses, a truck accidentally nudged against his motorcycle, causing Charles to lose control of his vehicle. The truck ran him over after he slipped under it, killing him instantly.
The truck kept on driving and the driver has not been identified.
The victim’s body was taken to the Tugu Ibu Hospital in Depok.
“When it happened, my little brother was not carrying a passenger. I was shocked when I heard the news,” said Charles’ sister, Farida Mutia Tambunan at the hospital, as quoted by Vivanews yesterday.
