WEIRD: Bekasi baby addicted to eating powder and pebbles

Not food

Babies shoving the most random things into their mouths out of curiosity is natural and they’ll usually learn their lesson if they taste something yucky. But one toddler in Bekasi seems addicted to eating two strange and unhealthy substances: baby powder and small pebbles.

Three-year-old Agus Trichori has been eating the rough stuff for the past two years, a habit even his parents can’t explain.

“All of a sudden his mouth would be covered with powder. Same with small pebbles, I thought he was eating candy,” said Agus’ mother Rohana, as quoted by Merdeka yesterday.

Agus is the youngest of three children from a low family income. As sad as it is to say, real candy would be a luxury for Agus.

Agus’ parents say they haven’t seen their son getting sick from the weird habit. However, they have never sought professional medical help for Agus, simply because they can’t afford it.
