Gemstone fever has hit Indonesia lately, and it seems people would pay exorbitant amounts of money to get a hold of the rarest of stones.
So much so that the Gading Mas Gemstone Gallery in Bandung, West Java, has put an incredible price of Rp 500 million (~US$ 38,000) for one of its gemstones.
But this is no ordinary gemstone.
You don’t even have to look closely at the photo above to see that the naturally occurring image inside the stone resembles a penis. It looks like an abnormally pointy penis, but a penis nonetheless.
“If we can give this a name, we’d call it the ‘Source of Life’,” said Zoem Putra Gading, the gallery owner, as quoted by Kompas on Wednesday.
But how could a gemstone no bigger than a human hand be that expensive?
“There’s only one. If there were two, maybe I’d sell it for cheaper,” Zoem said.
It turns out that there are actually people interested in buying this rare gemstone, including comedian Ki Daus, who is well known as an avid gemstone collector.
Personally, we wouldn’t think about parting with Rp 500 million for the penis gemstone, not even if it could give us magical penis powers.
