The above video which has been making the social media rounds shows 10 people (we counted) riding on a single motorcycle, with the people on the sides of the bike precariously balanced on attached wooden beams. Driving down what appears to be a road in the Indonesian countryside, the heavily weighed down bike seems to be making good speed as its seemingly carefree passengers enjoy the ride.
The video’s title says that it’s a man with his family, but we haven’t yet been able to dig up more info on the origin of this video so we can’t be sure that’s the case. We can’t even be sure this is actually taking place in Indonesia.
But we’re almost 100% sure this is some Indonesian ingenuity in action. After all, does any other country have as much expertise as ours at recklessly cramming as many people as possible onto a single motorcycle?
Well, ok maybe India…
