Viral: Bride supposedly dies 15 minutes after saying wedding vows in West Java

It is by far the worst tragedy that could befall a newlywed couple.

Recently, a story about a woman who died on her wedding day has gone viral and even been picked up by national media. Rani Aprilliani, a citizen of Purwakarta, West Java, supposedly died moments after being officially married to her husband, Kais Putra Prayoga.

Based on information gathered from various Facebook posts from the couple and their acquaintances, news outlets like Tribun and Brilio reported that the wedding took place on Saturday. Unfortunately, instead of being able to look forward to their new lives together, Rani passed away just 15 minutes after she and Kais said their wedding vows.

Rani’s cause of death was not mentioned in any of the reports. However, she was said to be suffering from an unspecified illness leading up to her wedding with her boyfriend of 5 years.

This is indeed a tragic story, but as is the case with all viral stories on social media, it’s important to take it with a healthy dose of skepticism, in case it turns out to be an elaborate and cruel hoax designed to tug at your heartstrings.
