The fact that a lot of expats from abroad choose to make Indonesia their home can be confusing to some people – specifically Indonesians. After all, why would a “bule”’ ever choose to live here in Indonesia when it has so many problems?
There are some obvious answers to this question, like Indonesia’s natural beauty, the kindness of its people, the beauty of its culture, blah blah blah.
In the above video, Indonesian Youtube star Sacha Stevenson (of “How to Act Indonesian” fame) explains some of the other, slightly less politically correct, reasons why expats choose to live here.
