Great news La Liga fans! Spanish soccer giants Valencia Club de Fútbol are planning a visit to Indonesia during their pre-season summer tour in July this year.
Valencia, having had the majority of its shares bought by Singaporean billionaire Peter Lim in May 2014, are planning a Southeast Asian tour in July 23 – 29. Indonesia is a very likely destination.
“We haven’t finalized some details. When we do, we’ll make an official announcement,” said Valencia Spokesman Andy Yun, as quoted by Goal Indonesia today.
Yun added that Indonesia has the most number of Valencia fans in Asia.
Valencia actually visited Jakarta for a friendly match against an Indonesian Selection team in 2012. Needless to say, Valencia trounced Indonesia 5-0 in that match.
Valencia are among a number of huge European soccer teams that are said to visit Indonesia this summer, a list that includes Real Madrid and Manchester City.
What a great soccer summer we’ll have if they end up coming here.
