Are your tighty-whities more grey than white? Are there more holes on them than their design intended? If so, then there’s no better time to get rid of them for fresh new pairs of gentlemen underwear than now.
In what is arguably the most exciting and convenient supermarket promo in recent times, large supermarket chain Lotte Mart is going to accept used men’s underwear from customers in exchange for new Rider brand underwear this weekend.
The way this works is that for every three used underwear of any brand we bring to Lotte, we’ll get a voucher that enables us to buy a new pair of “Anti-Bacteria” Rider underwear for just Rp 5,000. That’s it, there are no stipulations besides that the promo is only available while stocks last.
But before you get too excited, this promo is only available from June 25-26 at select Lotte Mart stores, namely Bintaro, Kelapa Gading, and Taman Surya.
Needless to say, the post above easily became the most commented and viral post from Lotte Mart’s Facebook page. Comments praising Lotte for this awesome deal poured in by the numbers.
“Haha… Extraordinary… All my life this is the first time I can trade in underwear… May Lotte Mart remain forever great.”
“Awesome Lotte, even underwear can be traded in… Awesooooome.”
Amid all the praise, there were some important questions raised about the technical details of the trade-in, but these were answered by Lotte Mart with aplomb.
“Is it ok for the used underwear to not be washed? Too lazy to wash.”
Lotte: “Any condition is fine as long as there’s no ‘aroma’.”
“If I only own 3 pairs including the one I’m wearing, can I trade them in?”
Lotte: “Yes.”
“1 question: What’s going to happen to all the used underwear?”
Lotte: “They’re going to be thrown away.”
“Can we take off our underwear there? Stains are OK right? Hehe.”
Lotte: “It’s ok as long as you’re not embarrassed.”
We hope people will at least have the decency to clean their used underwear before bringing them to Lotte, though, otherwise we’d feel even more sorry for the Lotte employees tasked with receiving used underwear.
