The body of an unidentified man was found dead early this morning in a shallow portion of a river near Jalan Fachruddin in Tanah Abang, Central Jakarta.
When found, the man, who looks middle aged, was wearing a brown leather jacket, black leather boots, yellow pants and a backpack.
Sugiarto, the man who found the body, said he came upon the corpse lying face down in the shallow river.
“There were no wounds on his body,” Sugiarto told Metro TV today.
The body was taken to Cipto Mangunkusumo Hospital in Central Jakarta for an autopsy. The case is being investigated by the Tanah Abang Police Department.
