Boys will be boys as they say, but for some kids in Indonesia, being young mostly equates to being stupid.
Two large youth gangs brawled in front of the Bina Sarana Informatika campus on Jalan Margonda, Depok on Monday evening. Some university students from BSI allegedly also got involved in the brawl.
The fight apparently started because the two gangs started insulting one another.
“At first there were only four policemen, whereas there were so many brawlers. I was guarding the entrance [to the BSI campus] so the brawlers couldn’t get in,” said M Nuh, a security guard at the campus, as quoted by Vivanews yesterday.
The brawl dissipated when police reinforcements arrived. The police arrested three people who were thought to have instigated the brawl.
There were no reported casualties from the incident.
The brawl, which occurred on Jalan Margonda, caused a long traffic jam on the city’s busiest road.
