Two more traffic accidents near location of deadly Pondok Indah crash

Two more traffic accidents happened right in front of police officers as they were investigating the scene of Tuesday evening’s horrific and deadly car crashes in Pondok Indah, South Jakarta.

According to Detik, the first accident happened at 9am when a motorcycle drove into the back of a car right in front of Holland Bakery on Jalan Arteri Pondok Indah. Thankfully, there were no casualties from the accident.

“It’s all been taken care of between the two [parties]. The car’s bumper was dented, but the driver chose to keep driving,” said police officer Tedi Effendi at the scene.

20 minutes later, another accident occurred on the opposite side of the road when a black Toyota Yaris bumped into a grey Kijang at low speed. The only damage from this incident was that the Yaris’ front number plate came off.

The woman who drove the Yaris got out of the car to assess the damage and then took the number plate with her into the car and drove off.

“With heavy rainfall like this, accidents tend to happen. Drivers must be more vigilant when driving,” said police officer Tedi.
