Learn the true meaning of “suka-suka kamu, lah” and other key Indonesian phrases in this hilarious video

Like all languages, Bahasa Indonesia has its own subtleties and ambiguities that can sometimes make it difficult even for native speakers to understand what other people are really talking about. Often, such linguistic miscommunication takes place between men and women, who each seem to have their own language.

LASTDAY Production, the maker of many excellent comedy videos, produced this titled “Cara Belajar Bahasa Indonesia” (“How to Learn Indonesian”) that will help both foreigners and Indonesians understand the true meaning behind phrases such as “suka-suka kamu, lah” (whatever you want) “lumayan” (not bad) and “katanya” (they say).
