TransJakarta to build public toilets in every three bus stops

All this time, there were literally zero public toilets on TransJakarta bus stops that we’re surprised nobody had toilet-related accidents on TransJakarta’s facilities (that we know of).

We’re not sure if there’s been a public demand for it, but PT TransJakarta is now doing the logical thing by building public toilets in their bus stops – but not in all of them.

“Every 3 bus stops there will be a toilet. In the Dukuh Atas bus stop it’s already being built,” said PT TransJakarta operations director Daud Joseph, as quoted by Vivanews yesterday.

So, suffice it to say going to the bathroom at a TransJakarta bus stop will be quite a gamble.

Daud explained that TransJakarta previously had no reason to provide public toilets on bus stops to passengers.

“Bus stops actually aren’t public toilets, they’re just for people to make quick transits. That’s why there are no ACs at bus stops because that would make people wait there for long periods of time,” he said.

Um, we’d argue that many people are forced to wait (in cramped conditions) at TransJakarta bus stops for long periods of time, especially during rush hour. So can we get ACs installed too please?
