TikTok has launched its TV app in Indonesia, giving its legions of users in the country another option than to squint at tiny phone screens in order to mindlessly scroll through videos.
In a press release, the platform said TikTok TV is now available in Indonesia via Google TV, Android TV, and Samsung smart TVs.
The app is also coming to LG smart TVs in the near future.
Like in the phone app, TikTok TV users can watch trending videos via the “For You” and “Following” sections.
Users who prefer to have content delivered to them with the help of TikTok’s wicked smart algorithm may log in using their existing accounts.
Indonesians are among the most addicted TikTok users in the world. A recent study showed that as of January 2023, only the US with approximately 113 million users engaging with the social video platform exceeded Indonesia’s 110 million users. Brazil came third with 82 million users.
