Teenager found dead with a sickle stuck in his head after rival schools brawl

The body of an unidentified teenager was found dead after a brawl between students from two schools took place on Jalan Keadilan, in Sukmajaya, Depok, early this morning.

Horrifyingly, a sickle was stuck in the teenager’s head when he was found dead.

Sukmajaya Police Chief Commissioner Agus Widodo said initial forensic examinations revealed the teenager died from three stab wounds to the head.

“We interrogated three witnesses. Our current suspicion is that the victim died from the brawl. But we’re still looking into it,” Agus said, as quoted by Vivanews today.

Before the victim’s body was found lying on the side of the street, witnesses say two groups of students had a violent brawl involving sharp weapons, bamboos sticks, wooden blocks and stones.

“There were many of them, they all brought weapons. The brawl didn’t last long because one of them (the victim) fell,” said Faisal, a witness.

Police estimate that the victim was about 19 years old. He was wearing batik pants and a black t-shirt. The body was taken to the Kramat Jati Police Hospital in East Jakarta for an autopsy.
