Take advantage of City Hall’s picturesque backdrop for a pre-wedding photo shoot… for free!

Finding a suitable venue for a pre-wedding photo shoot in the capital may be a difficult task. But lucky for you soon-to-be bride and grooms, the Jakarta City Hall has opened its doors for couples to take pre-wedding photos in its picturesque scenery.

Jakarta Governor Basuki “Ahok” Tjahaja Purnama said couples may take advantage of City Hall’s large garden area and the office’s colonial Dutch architecture as the backdrop to their pre-wedding photos. Best of all, they can do so free of charge.

“They can hang out in the front as if they own a huge Dutch house. The front yard is so huge, it’s suitable for a pre-wedding [photo shoot]. As long as they can hold their embarrassment in front of so many people,” Ahok said, as quoted by Detik on Saturday.

Ahok was of course referring to the fact that City Hall is now open for the public and tourists every weekend, which means that couples wanting to take pre-wedding photos at City Hall must share the facility with others.

Well, City Hall is definitely a suitable option for a pre-wedding photo shoot. Just beware of photobombers, though.
