Suspected pedophile from Bekasi downloads 33,000 images containing child pornography, shares 100 on Twitter

 The Jakarta Metro Police recently arrested a man who is suspected of downloading up to 33,000 photos containing child pornography before posting some of them on Twitter.
 
The suspect, who was identified by his initials SH, is 39-years-old. He was arrested on November 28 at his home in Central Cikarang, Bekasi.
 
The police say SH downloaded the illegal images from all over the internet and shared some of them on his personal Twitter account.
 
“He uploaded around 100 photos [containing child pornography] on his Twitter account,” said Adjunct Commissioner Suharyanto, head of the Cyber Crime Sub-Directorate at the Jakarta Metro Police, as quoted by Tempo yesterday.
 
The police clarified that SH did not take the photos himself.
 
“He said [he downloaded the photos] to arouse himself,” Suharyanto said.
 
SH was charged with violating pornography, internet, and child protection laws. It’s not yet specified what punishment he’d receive for his alleged crime.
