Special Transjakarta route opens for the Jakarta Fair (which begins today)

The Jakarta Fair starts today – a month long celebration of the capital’s anniversary filled with musical performances, competitions, local product vendors and about 1,000 food stands all selling exactly the same kind of sausage.

To make it easier for people to make it up to Pekan Raya Jakarta, the venue for the Jakarta Fair located in Kemayoran, Central Jakarta, the Transjakarta is opening a special route to the event that takes visitors to a brand new bus stop directly in front of Pekan Raya Jakarta.

The president of PT Transjakarta, Antonius Kosasih, said Transjakarta will provide five buses that will take turns carrying passengers every 10-15 minutes from 9am to 11pm from Monday to Saturday. It will run on Sunday from noon to 10pm.

The special bus route starts at the Monumen Nasional (Monas) Transjakarta stop and takes them to Pekan Raya Jakarta, with stops at Balai Kota, Gambir 2, Gambir 1, Istiqlal, Budi Utomo, Pasar Baru Timur in between.
