An allegation made by an Indonesian soap star against somebody who could be a prominent politician may spark a major scandal in the country.
Siti Anizah, a sinetron (Indonesian soap opera) actress known for her role in Cinderella, posted a couple of stories on Instagram yesterday, narrating to her followers about how she had been sexually harassed by an unspecified politician.
“What are your thoughts if one of the leaders of a major political party in Indonesia was a perpetrator of sexual violence/harassment?” she wrote in one story, later hinting the politician may be aligned with a religious-based party and holds a high position there.
“Who is the victim? Me.”
Telling her followers that she wanted to “spill” more information, Siti Anizah said she has been checked into a hospital for an undisclosed affliction and thus needed a couple of days to recover.
“Pray for my speedy recovery. I will tell you more,” she said.
