Robber dates maid to get into her employer’s house in South Jakarta

If you have a maid at home, it’s probably a good idea to ask them about what’s going on in her life. One, because it’s nice – she’s a person, not your cleaning robot. And two, because there is a chance she might be dating a man who intends on taking advantage of her to break into your house.

That’s exactly what happened in Pesanggrahan, South Jakarta recently. A robber, identified by the initials MUN, started dating a maid, identified as WT, around Independence Day last August.

But this isn’t a love story. MUN actually had an ulterior motive.

On September 5, MUN and his two buddies broke into WT’s employer’s home after learning from WT that the house would be empty for a certain period of time.

WT is probably going to have a really hard time trusting men from now on, given that her ex-boyfriend tied her up before ransacking the house.

“After [WT] was tied up, [the suspects] stole valuables in the house with ease,” said Audi Latuheru, head of the South Jakarta Crime Investigation Unit, as quoted by Okezone today.

The police managed to track down MUN and one accomplice at a rented house in Pondok Aren, South Tangerang the next day. One suspect is still on the loose.

MUN and his pal could face up to 9 years in prison, though it doesn’t appear MUN will be charged for committing crimes against love.
