Los Blancos and The Citizens rejoice! Two European soccer heavyweights Real Madrid and Manchester City are planning to play friendly matches in Jakarta as part of their pre-season tours this summer.
The two clubs proposed to play the matches at the Gelora Bung Karno (GBK) Stadium in Senayan, South Jakarta.
“Manchester City proposed to play in Indonesia. I’ve given them the schedule. Real Madrid also proposed,” said Raja Parlindungan Pane, Director of GBK Management and Development, as quoted by Merdeka today.
“I won’t say who the event promoter is, but the proposal letters have been received and will be processed. We received the letters two weeks ago.”
Details about Real Madrid and Manchester City’s visit to Jakarta have yet to be determined. At the moment, it’s unclear when and whom they would play against.
