Police investigating possible death by Vietnamese coffee at a restaurant in Grand Indonesia

Even on the never-ending list of things that we have to worry about possibly killing us, most of us don’t include coffee among the possible killers.

However, the police are taking very seriously the possibility that 27-year-old Wayan Mirna L Salimin died last night from drinking a cup of Vietnamese coffee at a restaurant in Grand Indonesia.

Wayan was drinking her coffee at the restaurant with friends went she reportedly went into a seizure. She was then taken to Abdi Waluyo Hospital, where she passed away soon after her arrival.

Authorities have taken some liquid containing the coffee from her stomach as evidence.

“We’ve also confiscated the cup that was used, as well as the Vietnamese coffee the victim drank,” said Central Jakarta Police Spokesman Suyatno, as quoted by Okezone today.

However, the police may not be able to accurately determine Wayan’s cause of death since her family refused to allow her body to be autopsied.

Given that her seizure could have been caused by any number of things, the fact the she experienced them while drinking coffee could be completely coincidental.
