The police captured two more of the five inmates that escaped from the holding cells of the Jagakarsa Police Station in South Jakarta. The two escapees were arrested all the way in Sukabumi, West Java this morning.

“The two suspects were arrested together in a house they just rented. The suspects did not put up a fight because they were arrested when they were sleeping,” said Hari Subeno, head of the Crime Investigation Unit at the Jagakarsa Police Department, as quoted by Warta Kota today.

A task force consisting of 18 police officers from the Jagakarsa Police Department and the South Jakarta Police was deployed to capture the escaped inmates.

They have previously captured two escaped inmates, meaning there is only one escapee still on the loose.

The five inmates broke out of the holding cells of the Jagakarsa Police Station early on Monday morning.
