Police in Cimahi, West Java arrested a 14-year-old boy suspected of selling marijuana online for over a year.

According to the police, the suspect, who is identified by his initials ND, gets a regular shipment of the illegal substance from an inmate in Sumatera via post. ND promoted his marijuana online and disguised his shipments to customers.

“To fool couriers, the marijuana was stored inside beauty products,” Cimahi Police Chief M Yoris Maulana told reporters yesterday.

Yoris added that a courier identified as 19-year-old WL, who was an accomplice in ND’s operation, was also arrested.

ND was charged with drug trafficking and possession under Indonesia’s narcotics law, which are punishable by up to 20 years and 12 years in prison respectively.

“For those who are underage, the sentence will be a third of that,” Yoris said.
