Do pipe down on account of all the other passengers is the message from national train operator PT Kereta Api Indonesia (PT KAI) after a video went viral showing a group of travelers playing a very lively game on board a train.
The video, posted by TikTok user @lodya_pitasari on Tuesday and has since been viewed 3.3 million times, shows what appears to be a group on a work trip holding a quiz among themselves. While most of the travelers in that party were sitting down, a couple of them were seen standing and moving along the aisle.

The caption in the video translates to, “They think this is their private carriage. Please, this is a public vehicle and there are many other passengers. But they’re holding a quiz and being really noisy and shouting. And that is very annoying.”
PT KAI VP of Public Relations Joni Martinus said the video was taken on the Taksaka Train bound to Yogyakarta from Jakarta’s Gambir on Jan. 30.
“We implore passengers to be considerate towards other passengers on the train,” he said today.
Joni also urged passengers to notify onboard officers should they see inconsiderate or harmful behavior on the train.
But should things really come down to that? Why can’t we all have some basic manners and understand that most people just want their peace and quiet on public transportation?
