Apple iPhone users reported that PeduliLindungi has vanished from the App Store, with the Health Ministry saying that it’s working to restore the government’s health and mobility tracking app.
The app, which is essential for checking in to public facilities throughout Indonesia, was reported to have disappeared from the Apple App Store on Sunday evening. As of this article’s publication, the app has not returned to the App Store.
“Yes, we’re having technical issues. The app was set to private,” Health Ministry spokeswoman Widyawati said today, explaining why the public can’t find PeduliLindungi on the App Store.
The ministry said it’s coordinating with Apple to reupload the app to the App Store.
Despite vanishing from the App Store, iPhone users who have PeduliLindungi already installed should find that the app is functioning normally.
Those who don’t have PeduliLindungi installed can also use its features via several major Indonesian apps that have integrated its functions, such as Gojek, Tokopedia, and Traveloka.
PeduliLindungi is still available on the Google Play Store for Android users.
