Online shopper orders iPhone 6, gets shipped soap instead

Buying stuff online obviously comes with its own risks, but surely we can trust legitimate online shops like Lazada?

Well, perhaps not.

Twitter user @danisdarusman recently shared his nightmare experience of shopping with Lazada. He claims he ordered an Apple iPhone 6 Plus, but this is what he was shipped instead:

I bought an iPhone 6+ and soap arrived! Only at @LazadaID. HURRY UP GUYS!! Hurry to your bankruptcy, I mean.

Danis suspected something was wrong when the package he received was much lighter than one that should contain a smartphone. So he recorded this unboxing video as proof that he wasn’t making false claims.

Later, Danis tweeted that somebody from Lazada got in touch with him to rectify the situation.

When we checked their website, we found that Lazada doesn’t actually sell the Nuvo soap that was shipped to Danis, which makes us suspect that perhaps someone at Lazada’s shipping department is trolling customers.
