Azlan Adha, a 65-year-old man, was found dead in his rented home in Srengseng, Kembangan, West Jakarta on Sunday. It seemed that Azla had been dead for quite some time, as there was nothing left of him but his skeleton.
Police say Azlan’s remains were found when a cleaner, Narko, came to Azlan’s house yesterday.
“The victim lived alone in the house. Since there was no news [about Azlan], the house was planned to be put on lease by the owner, Anwar,” said Robinson Manurung, head of Criminal Investigation at Kembangan Police Department, as quoted by Kompas yesterday.
Azlan’s brother, Azwan, said Azlan had been depressed after his wife and children left him.
Azlan’s body was taken to the Cipto Mangunkusumo Hospital for an autopsy to determine the cause of death.
