Nadhira Fajriani Ramadhan, a 14-year-old girl who attends the ninth grade in the Al-Jannah Middle School in East Jakarta, has been missing since Saturday. Her mother, Yeni Mardiani, suspects Nadhira ran away because she was tired of being bullied in school.
“Nadhira was bullied [by children who say] she’s fat, sweaty, and smelly. Even after my daughter puts on perfume they still bully her because they say the perfume smell is too piercing,” Yeni said yesterday, as quoted by Tempo.
Nadhira was last seen on Saturday after an extracurricular activity in school. According to the school’s security guard, Nadhira was driven by Pak Kis, the school’s bus driver, to a Padang restaurant not far from the school. From there, Nadhira got on an ojek and left, and she hasn’t been seen since.
Nadhira, who is 155 cm tall and weighs 80 kg, was wearing a black t-shirt, a pair of jeans, red shoes and an orange backpack.
