“The results of the examination are that there are two suspects [from the Navy]. They admitted to robbing a house on Jalan Lapangan Tembak with three civilian accomplices,” said Navy Head of Information Admiral Muhammad Zainudin as quoted by Tempo yesterday.

During the robbery, which took place in November of last year, the suspect carried off a staggering Rp 4 billion in cash. According to the suspects, the money was divided equaly between them – Rp 800 million per person.

Zainudin said they were all part of a gang that had been involved in multiple crimes and that they had been caught last week as part of a joint investigation between the Navy and the Jakarta Police.
