A Lion Air meme poking fun at the airline’s three-day delays farce

Lion Air’s ridiculously long flight delays cost a lot of travelers valuable time and money. One woman even had to postpone her child’s marriage vows ceremony in Jakarta because she couldn’t fly into the city in time.

The delays at Soekarno-Hatta Airport had a domino effect on all airports nationwide. That included Sultan Iskandar Muda Airport in Banda Aceh.

One woman who was stranded at Sultan Iskandar Muda, Cut Dina, was saddened because she was the reason behind the postponement of her child’s marriage vows in Jakarta.

“My child was getting married tonight in Jakarta, but of course it had to be postponed because my flight couldn’t take off,” Cut Dina said, as quoted by JPNN on Saturday. 

She said airport officials told her the flight was delayed to 2pm from the initial 12:15pm take off time. But she was still waiting for her flight at 4pm.

“The officials said the plane hasn’t arrived, they say it’ll arrive at 4:35pm. So it looks like my child’s marriage vows in Jakarta have to be postponed until tomorrow,” Cut Dina said.

Thankfully, she only had to postpone her child’s marriage vow. We can’t even begin to imagine the logistical nightmare of postponing a full-on wedding by one day.
