Ugh, Mondays right? Not only is it raining cats and dogs this afternoon, the humidity and heat earlier in the day should have been illegal. All of that on the first day back to work.
For some of us, there’s no better medicine for a depressing day than a dose of Ms Taylor “got a long list of ex-lovers” Swift. Especially when she sings and dances to a song from our childhood, ‘Becak, becak’.
In our ideal world, Ms Swift would actually have a real affinity for the becak AKA rickshaw and we’d ride with her on one anywhere our abang becak took us. But alas, the above is simply a cleverly edited video matching Ms Swift’s mouth movements to the song.
This is hardly the first time that a music video of a global music superstar has been mashed up with Indonesian music. One of our favorites was Drake’s ‘Hotline Bling’ mashed with dangdut. That was awesome, but unlike with Ms Swift, we’re not sure we’d like to share a becak ride with Drake.
