The National Narcotics Agency of Jakarta (BNN) raided HZ Club and Karaoke in the Lokasari Plaza complex in North Jakarta early this morning. Officers detained at least 70 people at the nightclub.
The head of public relations for BNN, Slamet Pribadi said that 70 consisted of 44 men and 26 women. Out of those, 13 of whom tested positive for narcotics.
“Thirteen people tested positive, consisting of 8 men and 5 women,” Slamet told Kompas via SMS this morning.
While carrying out the raid, officers found a marijuana cigarette in a box located on top of one of one of the tables. Not surprisingly, no one wanted to claim it so the officers confiscated it as evidence.
During the the raid, officers also identified several people as members of the military, police, public figures and one member of a political party. But don’t worry, because somehow it turned out that none of them tested positive for drugs.
Those who tested positive were taken to a BNN office for processing while the rest were discharged.
