40-year-old Amin died this morning after being hit by a moving KRL Commuter Line train in Tambora, West Jakarta.

According to eyewitness Aris, the victim, received fatal wounds to the head and the chest after being hit by the train, which was heading to Tanah Abang from Duri Station.

“The wounds are on the head and the chest, because the body was carried 15 meters [from the point of impact],” Aris said, as quoted by Warta Kota

Aris said locals saw the victim cross the railway crossing and shouted at him to warn him about an oncoming train.

“People were shouting, but he didn’t hear. The victim waved his hand instead, and then he died,” Aris said.

Amin is known to work around the area of the accident. His body was taken to the Cipto Mangunkusumo Hospital for an autopsy.
