Pieter Siregar, a 50-year-old man, is currently at the South Jakarta District Court over something any sane parent would do to protect their daughter.
According to Detik, back in December 2013, his daughter, Bianca, was driving in a car driven by her boyfriend JO, when the car got in an accident on the Pondok Indah toll road.
The two suffered from light injuries and were treated at the Pondok Indah Hospital before they were discharged the next day.
JO then went over to Bianca’s house. But instead of asking his girlfriend about her condition, JO came to accuse and question Bianca about a suspected infidelity with another boy.
Seeing this, Pieter and his wife asked JO to leave so their daughter could recover in peace. After JO refused to leave, Pieter got angry and had some stern words with him until JO eventually left.
At home, JO told his father about Pieter reprimanding him. A month later, JO’s father reported the incident to the police.
Pieter is now in court facing charges including defamation and humiliation of others.
