Man in West Java pimps wife for threesomes and swinging as ‘revenge’ for her infidelity

A husband and wife in the city of Tasikmalaya, West Java were apprehended after he peddled her for threesomes and swinging parties, police said, noting that he had done so out of spite.

The husband, identified as 37-year-old D, offered his wife of 15 years, 39-year-old J, to other men and couples online. To the police, D claimed that he was hurt after he caught him cheating on him multiple times.

“Based on the suspect’s statement, his wife initially had affairs, and then he found out. The husband suggested that instead of having affairs, it would be better that they perform these acts (threesomes, swinging) as they have deviant sexual behavior,” Dian Pornomo, who heads Tasikmalaya Police’s Crime Investigation Unit, said yesterday.

The prostitution business had been running for at least four months. Police said that D offered his wife for IDR300,000 (US$20.90) per meeting through social media, and demanded clients cover additional costs like a hotel room, food, and pocket money. After attracting a client, D would continue their conversation through WhatsApp to agree on the location, fee, and their desired sexual positions.

In front of reporters, D claimed that he was fed up with J’s cheating ways, which prompted him to throw the idea of online prostitution to his wife.

“[J had affairs] four times, then I said, why are you like this? If you want [our marriage] to be over, then so be it. If you want to do that [having sex with other men], just do it in front of me,” D said. 

But there’s another layer to the already convoluted drama. J admitted to the serial infidelity, but claimed that she only did it because D cheated on her first.

“I held a grudge [towards my husband]. I 100 percent believe that my husband cheated on me. I found out, but he didn’t want to admit it,” J said.

The couple was apprehended at a hotel in Singaparna district on Monday, where D had taken J to serve a male client.

Police have named D as a suspect for offering his wife’s sexual services, while they’re still considering J a witness as she could be categorized as a victim. 

D may be charged with facilitating sex work and obscene behavior under Indonesia’s criminal code (KUHP), which carries a maximum sentence of one year and four months in prison.
